UMass men's lacrosse loses first of season at Albany

The fifth-ranked University of Massachusetts men's lacrosse team suffered its first loss Tuesday, falling 9-8 to Albany in Albany, N.Y.
UMass (4-1) fell behind 6-2 in the first half and pulled within one goal on two occasions in the second, but couldn't complete the comeback.
Art Kell, Ryan Hantverk and Connor Mooney each scored twice while Kyle Smith and Mike Fetterly each had one goal.
Will Manny had three assists for the Minutemen while Tim McCormack made 10 saves.
