Dr. Irving Heaps, beloved father, grandfather

West Caldwell, N.J. - Dr. Irving Heaps, 95, passed away on March 2, 2010, in the nursing care facility of the Crane's Mill Continuing Care Retirement Community - where he and his wife, the late Ruth (Rosin) Heaps, moved from their home of 45 years in Livingston, N.J., into an independent living apartment in 1998.

SPRINGFIELD - Judith Anne Maxwell passed away on Monday March 9, 2010, at her home in Brandon, Fla.

Judy was born in Springfield, the daughter of Frances Joseph Carney and Grace (McNabb) Carney. Judith graduated from Cathedral High School. She worked at the Holyoke Hospital for 25 years and then retired to Florida. She then worked for Dr. Wyley's Dermatology in South Tampa, Fla.

Emma Rolla, lifelong Hatfield resident

HATFIELD - Emma A. Rolla, 89, of School Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, March 9, 2010, at Linda Manor in Leeds after a brief illness.

Emma was born in Hatfield on Feb. 3, 1921, the daughter of the late Alexander and Klementina (Sakowicz) Rogaleski. She was raised and educated in Hatfield, attending local schools and graduating from Smith Academy.

Richard Bouchard, 64, Vietnam veteran

EASTHAMPTON - Richard E. Bouchard, 64, passed away on March 2, 2010, at the VA Medical Center in Leeds.

Born in Holyoke on Sept. 20, 1945, he was the son of the late Roy and Antoinette (Morin) Bouchard. Richard was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and lifelong resident of Easthampton.

Hugh Denton, Lockheed retiree, singer

AMHERST - Hugh Oliver Denton passed away on Feb. 26, 2010, in the Center for Extended Care in Amherst.

He was born on July 11, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., to Cecil T. Denton and Loraine J. Denton (the first of their three children). The family moved to California and settled in Santa Barbara, Calif.
