SOUTH HADLEY – About 16 families with young children took part in a hands-on discovery presentation, “Nature Up Close: Explore Nature with Your Child”, by Doug Fleury of Holyoke on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the town library. With guidance from Fleury, kids from 10 months to four years observed caterpillars, made leaf rubbings and used a magnifying glass to identify leaf types and rock characteristics. The hands-on discovery program was funded by the Collaborative for Educational Services through a grant from the Coordinated Family Community Engagement Program.
