SHUTESBURY — There is only one race in Shutesbury’s annual election Saturday.
Newcomers Matthew S. Galman and Lauren J. Thomas-Paquin are facing off for the vacant seat on the School Committee, according to Town Clerk Susie Mosher.
Catherine Hilton is running for re-election to the Board of Health. Marilyn E. Tibbetts is seeking to be re-elected to both the Cemetery Commission and as town constable.
Two people are seeking re-election as library trustees, Michele Regan-Ladd and Bradley R. Foster. Penelope G. Kim seeks re-election as town moderator.
Three seats are open on the Planning Board with only two candidates seeking re-election, Linda C. Fediuk-Rotondi and Jeffrey R. Lacy. This leaves open the possibility of write-in candidates coming forward Saturday.
No nomination papers have been taken out for the one open seat on the Select Board. April Stein is finishing out a seven years of service on the board and has chosen not to run for re-election.
Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Town meeting begins at 9 a.m.
