Emily Whitacre and Hailey O’Connor scored three goals each, and O’Connor added six assists as the Granby girls lacrosse team clinched a share of the Pioneer League title with a 19-7 win over Chicopee on Thursday in Granby.
Kate Sarnacki led Granby (10-4, 8-1 Pioneer) with nine goals and six assists.
Mya Fillion stopped nine shots in the Granby net.
Granby closes out its regular season against St. Mary on Monday and can clinch the league crown outright with a win.
Minnechaug 14, Amherst Regional 0 — Savannah Robinson made three saves for the Hurricanes (4-14).
Agawam 19, South Hadley 2 — Briana Couture and Marley Medina scored in a road loss.
Hanna Kopec stopped eight shots for the Tigers (3-13, 0-7 Valley Wheel).
South Hadley 3, Hopkins Academy 2 — Mario Oliveira (three hits) drove in two runs, including the game winner in the fifth inning for the Tigers (14-3, 6-1 Hampshire West).
Chance Almonte also picked up three hits and an RBI.
Hopkins (8-7, 2-5 Hampshire West) scored both of its runs on a John Earle double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Northampton 8, Holyoke 6 — Devin Kellogg led the Blue Devils with two RBIs in a home win.
Kellogg, Andy Grygorcewicz and Hector DeJesus all had two hits for Northampton (12-4, 7-3 Valley Wheel).
Cody Cleveland started the game for the Blue Devils, and Brandon Zaikowski picked up the win in relief.
Greenfield 2, Frontier Regional 1 — The Red Hawks came out of the short end of a pitchers’ duel as they fell to the Green Wave in South Deerfield.
Noah Barnes pitched well in his six innings, allowing two runs, four hits and three walks while striking out four.
Brandon Bryant triple and scored on a passed ball in the seventh inning for the only run for Frontier (12-3, 4-3 Hampshire West).
Hampshire Regional 5, Monson 3 — Garret Kowal hit a two-run double in a road win, while Steve Moussette, Everett Warner and Riley Provost also had RBIs for the Raiders (7-6, 4-3 Bi-County South).
Jordan Washburn picked up the win in relief, not allowing a hit in two innings.
Northampton 11, East Longmeadow 4 — Calista LeBron hit a grand slam in the sixth inning and Anna Kerwood threw a one-hitter as the Blue Devils (11-6, 5-1 Valley Wheel) won at home.
Abby Pelis and Zoe Driscoll-Sbar had two RBIs each.
Granby 14, Central 5 — Kate Sullivan (home run, three RBIs, five runs), Mallory Beauregard and Brie Heath each had triples as the Rams (9-8, 1-7 Bi-County East) won in Springfield.
Lexi Strycharz went 2 for 2 with three RBIs.
Athol 10, Hopkins Academy 3 — Caroline Judge went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, while Caroline Cristoforo, Maegan Quinlan and Erin Tudryn each had one hit for the Golden Hawks (1-15, 1-11 Franklin), who fell on the road.
Hampshire Regional 13, Holyoke 0 (6) — Madison Philbrook went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning of a road win.
Danielle McGan and Taylor Boutwell scored three runs each.
Alexis Ferris allowed two hits and walked two with 13 strikeouts for Hampshire (15-1, 5-0 Suburban).
Westfield 2, Amherst Regional 0 — Aliyah Bartmon pitched well (11 strikeouts) and hit well (two of the Hurricanes’ three hits), but Amherst (1-14, 0-5 Valley League) couldn’t get on the scoreboard.
Frontier Regional 15, Mahar 0 (5) — Natalie Denkiewicz drove in five runs on three hits in a road win. Mindy Esposito and Lexa Boyden also had two RBIs for the Red Hawks (9-6, 8-3 Franklin).
Northampton 10, East Longmeadow 4 — Henry Attias had three goals and two assists as the Blue Devils rolled past the Spartans at home.
Kyle Luzzi-Dundon (goal, three assists), Matt Huggett (goal, two assists), Henry Higgins (goal, two assists) and Evan Moulton (two goals) each had multiple points in front of Bryce Wall for Hamp (9-6, 6-1 Valley League).
Minnechaug 17, South Hadley 4 — Pat Crotty and Stephen Stratton led the Tigers with a goal and an assist each.
Jason Fernandes and Griffin Fitzell also scored, while Corey Calkins made six saves for South Hadley (5-11).
