The Hopkins Academy golf team got off to a good start to the season with a 183-193 win over Pioneer Regional, Tuesday at Holyoke Country Club.
Connor Asselin led the Golden Hawks with a 43. Cody West followed with a 44, while Jake Smith had a 46 and Liam Flynn a 50.
Jared Hubbard, Jaylen McGraw and Sam Glazier each had a 46 to pace Pioneer.
Northampton 167, Holyoke 185 — Galen Fowles shot 2-over 36 to pace the Blue Devils (2-0) at Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke. Evan Yurko followed with a 42, while Camille Richmond had a 43 and Jack Mattison-Gulotta a 46.
Matt Dulude led the Purple Knights with a 44. Jacob Tassinari (46), Ryan Maloney (47) and Niko Consadine (48) contributed.
Agawam 175, Hampshire Regional 190 — Levi Zielinski carded a 6-over 42 and Owen Lech added a 43, but the Raiders fell at Oak Ridge Country Club in Agawam.
Nicky Elias-Gillette (50) and Tim Florek (55) contributed for Hampshire.
