As the organizer of the Nov. 27 “Grim Reaper” drone war protest in Northampton, I want to say that our purpose in holding the protest was not to shame, as suggested in a letter to the editor by Richard Walsh, but to dramatize for the public the reality that United States armed drones are continually, illegally, killing and terrorizing.
And though we did not say it in our protest, we all must recognize that our wars, politically enabled by remote controlled killing, are wars of repression and conquest, not wars for democracy.
