Resilience Hub boondoggle continues

We have now been told the Resilience Hub, which we overpaid $2 million for, does not have the funds for completion. As city property (it sat unsold, unused for years), it is now off the tax rolls and must be insured and maintained at the city’s expense. It has no kitchen, heating, and is expected to cost even more if completed. Where is the money coming from, Mayor??

As if this wasn’t bad enough, for half the price we could have bought the former St. Mary’s Church with a kitchen and heat, more square footage and parking, too. How could such a poor decision have been made?

And what is the future of downtown’s Picture Main Street? Only $20 million. Does anyone think this is the final pricetag? With such poor financial decision-making and planning, how can taxpayers possibly trust this experiment or administration.

Let’s put a hold on this experiment before we get any deeper and burden the town any more.
