In 2026, the Daily Hampshire Gazette will change how we publish on select holidays.

Beginning Jan. 1, the Gazette will no longer publish a print or electronic edition on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day. As current subscribers know, we have historically not published on Christmas Day.

We’re making these adjustments for two key reasons. Most importantly, it will allow our employees to spend more time with their families and friends during the holidays. Also, holiday home delivery volumes typically decline as many readers pause delivery service while traveling.

On these holidays you’ll still be able to read the day’s news from Hampshire County and the surrounding region by visiting gazettenet.com, which will be updated by our newsroom. All home delivery subscribers receive full access to our website. Visit gazettenet.com and click “Log In” on the home page to access the site or to register your account.

To ensure that you don’t miss any features, holiday comics and puzzles will be included in the edition the day prior to the holiday.

Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support of the Daily Hampshire Gazette.
