Gerald “Jerry” E. Boulanger

Easthampton, MA – Gerald “Jerry” E. Boulanger, 95, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 4, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Easthampton on August 11, 1930, to the late Camille and Sadie (Gamelin) Boulanger.

Jerry received his education in Easthampton and served with honor in the United States Army. After his military service, he worked as a dedicated security guard at Smith College in Northampton for many years. Afterwards, he founded B & R Siding in Northampton, which he owned and managed successfully until his retirement.

During his younger years, Jerry pursued interests such as hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling, and dancing alongside his wife Elizabeth. He was affiliated with several organizations including the Lions Club in Williamsburg, American Legion Post 224 in Easthampton, VFW Post 8006 of Florence, and was a dedicated member of the Florence Congregational Church for many years until declining health limited his participation.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elizabeth “Betty” (Burt) Boulanger of Easthampton, his daughters; Deborah Boulanger of Ludlow, Jacklyn Swazlowski of Hatfield, Ann Marie Greco and her husband James of Hatfield, Laura Etzel and her wife Kathleen of Ware, Heidi Matakanski and her husband Eric of Northampton, his son; Leornard Tetrault and his wife Sadie of Randolph, VT, his sister, Judy Beals of Arizona. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family, including 17 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and their dear family friends Naomi and Greg Badach of Easthampton, all of whom brought great joy and meaning to his life.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son David Boulanger, brother, Clayton, sister, Joan Noonan, and son-in-law John Szwazlowski.

Calling hours will be Sunday January 11, 2026, from 12-1:30PM with a Prayer Service to begin at 1:30PM at the DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 Damon Rd., Northampton. Burial will be private at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
