Northampton, MA – Joan Margaret Molitoris of Park Hill Rd, Northampton, passed away on February 26, 2026 at the age of 89. A lifelong resident of Northampton she was born on August 19, 1936, the daughter of the late Evelyn (LeDoux) & Francis Leveille.
Joan graduated from Northampton schools in 1955. She married Tom, the love of her life, in August of that year and they remained wed for 70.5 years. Joan worked part time at Molitoris Orchards in the Sales Room in addition to doing the bookkeeping there with her husband. She also worked full time at UMASS Amherst as a Computer Operator, retiring in 1996 after serving there faithfully for 38 years.
Never one to sit still, Joan loved doing all sorts of crafts-knitting, crocheting, sewing and creating ceramics for gifts and Christmas decorations. She also loved decorating and going antiquing for over 40 years. Joan loved to travel with her husband, enjoying trips to Europe, Alaska, various National Parks and several cruises. In later years, trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos were enjoyed.
Joan is survived by her loving husband, Tom, of 70.5 vears. She leaves family- brother, sister, nieces, nephews and her great nephews, who she enjoyed having visit.
A member of St Peter’s Lutheran Church at 34 Jarvis Avenue in Holyoke, MA 01040, the family is requesting that donations be made in lieu of flowers. A private burial and celebration of her life will be held in the Spring.
