HOLYOKE — Two people were arrested Thursday after a standoff inside an apartment building.
Police were dispatched to 556 South Bridge St. at around noon Thursday when they received a call that someone was threatening individuals with firearms, said Sgt. Kevin Thomas of the Holyoke police.
After a 2½-hour standoff, in which state police were summoned, the individuals were taken into custody. No one was injured and police confiscated one shotgun, Thomas said.
The two face illegal possession of firearms charges. Their names were not released Thursday night.
