Mark Edward Jarrett, 21, of 110 Rolling Green Apartments, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday at the Craig’s Place homeless shelter, 434 North Pleasant St., on charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest after becoming belligerent toward other guests and police officers, police said.
Police said Jarrett was involved in a scuffle at 8:43 p.m. while waiting in line to get into the shelter and after allegedly striking another person with a stick, was advised to stay away from the site for the night.
A woman who drank a container of milk and ate a Milky Way candy bar at Big Y supermarket, 175 University Drive, at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, and then refused to pay for what she consumed, was issued a trespass notice to stay out of the store.
David John Knapp, 44, who listed his address as the streets of Amherst, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy, 76 North Pleasant St., on a charge of disorderly conduct after he was observed urinating in public, police said.
Melissa Bergeron, 27, of 39 Chapman Ave., was arrested on two warrants on Chapman Avenue Monday at 5:43 p.m.
