Rachel Oram-Brown’s first-place finish led the Amherst Regional girls alpine ski team to the top of the South Division at the second PVIAC race of the season, Thursday at Berkshire East in Charlemont.

She completed the giant slalom course in 25.17 seconds, and the Hurricanes finished with 112.05 points as a team. They edged Mohawk, which had 113.26.

Rebecca Stephens of Westfield was second in 26.54.

Margaret O’Connell was 11th for Amherst in 28.05, and Sora Green took 18th in 28.89.

Northampton finished first in the girls North Division with 116.43 points. Mia Bacon finished 10th in 28.03, while Julia Snodgrass (28.91) was 19th and Abbie Denhart (29.06) 20th.

Frontier Regional’s Coriann Delaney took seventh individually in 27.45, and Gateway’s Jessica Garriepy finished ninth in 27.81.
