HADLEY — The Select Board is sponsoring its second annual Hadley Clean-Up Day on Saturday to coincide with Earth Day.
Selectman Donald Pipczynski said volunteers should meet at Hopkins Academy, 131 Russell St., at 9:30 a.m. The clean up will last until 12:30 p.m., he said, and trash bags and other tools will be provided.
He said volunteers will pick up rubbish along the roadsides, particularly important before Mother’s Day when sons and daughters return home.
Plus, he said, being environmentally conscious is a positive thing.
“There’s nothing wrong with that, you know.”
