I have been a long-time admirer of the late state Rep. Peter Kocot and his wife, Shauneen.
While I was still trying to absorb the loss of Rep. Kocot, when Shauneen announced her support of Diana Szynal to fill the seat, I paid attention. I have researched the candidates for this important seat, and am convinced that Szynal will continue the progressive tradition Peter Kocot set in representing our district with courage, compassion and dedication.
With 16 years of constituent experience on her resume, Szynal has proven her dedication to her constituents. She has crisscrossed the district, with literally hundreds of meetings over the years.
She is tapped into the legislative process and knows how to get things done. She has broad experience and will be ready to represent us on day one.
Most importantly, Szynal is a progressive candidate, a working mother, and devoted to her work and the people of this district. I am proud to support her, and urge my fellow voters to do the same.
