HUNTINGTON — The town election May 15 featured a tiny turnout — and no surprises.
Out of the 1,585 voters registered in Huntington on that date only 85 voted, a 5.4% turnout.
No races were on the ballot. A seat on the Select Board, two seats on the Board of Health, a seat on the Board of Assessors, town clerk, two seats on the Regional School Committee, two water and sewer commissioners, a tree warden, a moderator, a constable position, a trustee of the Alphonso P. Pettis Fund position, a Huntington Library trustee position, and a Whiting Street Fund trustee position were all up for election.
The one-year position on the Regional School Committee and the one-year position on the Water and Sewer Commission remain unresolved as of May 20. Neither had anyone running on the ballot for those posts.
All other positions on the ballot were definitively filled in the election.
