Sage DeChiara’s four goals gave Amherst Regional a 4-4 tie against Chicopee Tuesday on the road.
Her goal in the 74th minute sent the game to overtime and capped a three-goal rally.
“She was outstanding,” Amherst coach Lauren Mordocco said. “She took on the game. Her will to win is unmatched.”
DeChiara saw man-to-man coverage and double teams throughout the game.
The Hurricanes (1-0-1) stormed back from a 4-1 halftime deficit to tie the game.
Reilly Lepak (three saves) and Amalia Butler (three saves) shared time in net for Amherst.
Jasmine McMickle, Erin Clotfelter and Karina Little had assists for the Hurricanes.
Kylie Ratelle had a hat trick for Chicopee.
South Hadley 4, Frontier Regional 0 — Breezy Couture had two goals, while Alexa Blaney added a goal and an assist as the Tigers (1-1, 1-0 Pioneer North) won at home.
Kaylin Cousineau added the game’s final goal, and Emma Slysz, Marley Medina and Mikhaila Edge had one assist apiece.
Sophie Gatzounas made three saves in the shutout.
Eliza Desmarias made 17 saves for the Red hawks (1-2, 0-2).
Monson 3, Hampshire Regional 0 — Melissa Gagnon made 11 saves in a home loss for the Raiders (1-1, 0-1 Grieve).
Gateway 4, Smith Academy 0 — The Gators blanked the Falcons at home behind two goals by Jessica Van Heynigen.
Samantha Belardo and Rachel LeBarron also scored for Gateway (3-0-1.
Rebecca Herman made three saves to notch the shutout.
Lillian Lagoy made seven saves for Smith Academy (0-2-1).
Belchertown 1, West Springfield 0 — Lauryn Parent converted a penalty kick to give the Orioles a home win.
Sam Birks stopped 11 shots for Belchertown (3-0, 1-0 Coombs).
Hopkins Academy 4, Ware 1 — Allison Kowal-Safron scored a goal in each half of a road win.
Samantha Jenks and AJ Mitchell found the net unassisted for Hopkins (3-0, 1-0 Pioneer South).
Juliette Cook and Sammy Fetler assisted on Kowal-Saffron’s goals.
Miranda Pitta made six saves.
Pittsfield 3, Easthampton 1 — Maddie Grabowski scored in a road loss for the Eagles (1-2, 1-0 Pioneer North).
Angela Nardi provided the assist, and Lili Pioli made 16 saves.

Longmeadow 10, Amherst 0 — Lindsey Campbell had eight saves, and Lydia Sullivan stopped four shots in a home loss for the Hurricanes (0-2, 0-2 South).
Girls volleyball
Amherst 3, East Longmeadow 0 — The Hurricanes swept the Spartans at home 25-14, 25-19 and 25-18.
Claire Basler-Chang and Meg Rice both had nine kills for Amherst (4-0).
Jen Joy added nine aces.
Frontier Regional 3, Ludlow 2 — Grace Randall moved from the middle to outside hitter and notched 12 kills in a comeback win.
The Red Hawks (3-0) lost the first two sets 25-21 and 26-24 but won the final three 25-21, 25-18 and 15-13.
Ella Deane dished out 41 assists, and Selayna Bathurst chipped in eight kills.
Bay Path Vocational 7, Smith Vocational 0 — Jamie Mikalonis had six saves, and Brett Hastiletine made four saves for the Vikings (1-2).
Smith Voke 4, St. Mary’s — Kyle Cyr netted the game-winner Thursday for the Vikings.
Cameron Perry scored twice for Smith Voke while Jebadiah Johansmeyer also scored.
Mikalonis had 10 saves.
