A boreal chickadee is still visiting a feeder in Peru.
Iceland and lesser black-backed gulls are still being reported at Turners Falls.
A ruddy duck was on Ludlow Reservoir.
A northern shrike was seen again in Windsor.
A rough-legged hawk continues to be reported in the Northampton-Hadley area.
A single Bohemian waxwing was noted in a flock of cedar waxwings in Dalton.
One or two Lapland longspurs are still being seen in Hadley.
Two cackling geese were noted again in Northampton.
Uncommon wintering and returning water birds included: American wigeon, green-winged teal, greater scaup, ring-necked duck, common loon and great blue heron,
Other species reported were black vulture and turkey vulture, northern harrier, Cooper’s hawk, sharp-shinned hawk, red-shouldered hawk, peregrine falcon, merlin and American kestrel.
Plus, killdeer, American woodcock, yellow-bellied sapsucker, northern flicker, red-breasted nuthatch, bluebird, hermit thrush, yellow-rumped warbler, white-crowned sparrow, swamp sparrow, fox sparrow, red-winged blackbird, grackle, pine siskin, purple finch, and evening grosbeak.
