Three second-half goals pushed the Granby girls soccer team past South Hadley and into the Pioneer North lead on Tuesday in South Hadley.

Trystin Burger and Julie Frappier scored for the Rams, and Granby (6-2, 4-0) benefited from an own goal in the 3-1 win.

Erin Mikalchus had an assist, while Brooklyn Baran made three saves.

Alexa Blaney scored on an assist from Mikhaila Edge in the first half for South Hadley (4-2, 3-1).

Sophie Gatzounas made eight saves in defeat.

Hopkins Academy 6, Greenfield 0 — Allison Jenks collected three points from set pieces, scoring a goal and assisting two others in a home win.

The Golden Hawks scored all their goals in the first half.

Leah Picard got a goal on an assist from Marykate Farnham. Juliette Cook scored from AJ Mitchell.

Allison Jenks’ assists went to Thea Hanscom and Samantha Jenks, who buried a header.

Allison Kowal-Safron also found the net assisted by Katelyn Mackin, who registered her first varsity point.

Hopkins (7-0) keeper Miranda Pitta didn’t face any shots on goal.

Smith Academy 3, Mohawk 2 — Madeline Niedbala had two goals as the Falcons (1-4-1) got their first win of the season against the Warriors (3-3).

Erin Gilrein found the back of the net with an assist from Ariana Sheehan. Hannah Rickert picked up an assist on a goal by Niedbala.

Belchertown 4, Agawam 1 — Kayla Henry scored a goal and assisted on another as the Orioles (4-0-3) cruised to their fourth victory of the season.

Lyndsey Fleming, Lauren Leblanc and Libby White also scored. Allyson Tatro and Emma Leblanc contributed with an assist.

Sam Birks made four saves for Belchertown.

Hampshire 3, Palmer 0 — Sam Tersavich scored her first two goals of the season in a road win for the Raiders.

Tersavich scored in the first half to open the scoring and added another in the second.

Carly Stenson and Madison Pease had assists.

Olivia Aldrich scored and assisted on Tersavich’s second goal for Hampshire (4-2-1).

Melissa Gagnon made six saves in net to notch the shutout.

Gateway 3, Mahar 0 — Jessica Van Heynigen collected a hat trick in a road win.

Samantha Belardo dished out two assists and Becca Hyjek had the third.

Becca Herman made one save for Gateway (5-2-1), while Julianna Dickinson and Gabby Goralczyk kept the trouble to a minimum in front of her defensively.

Amherst Regional 5, Pope Francis 1 — Sage DeChaira continued her strong offensive season for the Hurricanes with three goals in the road win.

Becky Caraker and Kelly Ford also scored for Amherst (4-1-2).

Amalia Butler (three saves) and Reilly Lepek (two saves) shared time in net.

Minnechaug 3, Northampton 1 — Caroline Tanner scored the lone goal for the Blue Devils and Emma Tanner had the assist in the road loss.

Sydney White had 10 saves for Northampton (3-2-2).

Easthampton 3, Frontier 0 — Maddie Grabowski scored twice in a road win.

Andie Hall dished out two assists and scored a goal, while Aubrey Fugiel had an assist for Easthampton (3-4, 2-2 Pioneer North).

Lilli Pioli made eight saves for the Eagles.

Alexa Boyden stopped one shot for Frontier (3-4, 1-3 Pioneer North), while Eliza Desmarias made four saves.

Boys soccer

Granby 3, Monument Mountain 1 — Ryan Bachand scored and dished out an assist in a home win.

Joe Desormier and Alex Joao also found the net for the Rams (7-2).

Daylon Kongo and Noah Bleakley added assists, while Zach Gorham stopped six shots.

Amherst Regional 2, Longmeadow 2 — The Hurricanes (2-1-2) led 1-0 and 2-1 but the defending Western Massachusetts Division 1 champoon Lancers (7-1-1) rallied each time for the road tie.

Thomas Perry headed home a corner kick by Colton Spirko 10 minutes into the game for Amherst.

With 17 minutes left, Andre Shepard corralled a free kick by Samson Heyer and found the corner of the net from 12 yards out.

Liam Carolan made seven saves for the ’Canes.

Field hockey

Frontier 6, Athol 0 — Ashley Borkowski and McKenzie Patterson each had a hat trick in a road win.

Lauren MacDonald, Camille Alli, Kathryn Mason and Olivia Vecellio each had an assist for the Red Hawks (8-1).

Skyla Burniske and Darian Meyers combined for the shutout and didn’t face any shots on goal.
