Don and Sue Grant of Northampton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their daughter, April, on the historic schooner Adventure in the Tall Ships Parade of Sail, Boston Harbor, June 17. They enjoyed singing some of their old favorite sea songs together on board during the sail.
Don (Henry Donald Grant Jr.) and Sue (Susan Tracy) met at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1964. They were married June 17, 1967, at St. John’s Methodist Church, Dedham. They have lived in Northampton since then. Don is an artist and landlord, while Sue is a retired biology professor and landlady. Don originated and directs the weekly Northampton Cross-Country races and Sue is his chief assistant.
