NORTHAMPTON – The Northampton Prevention Coalition has named a new coalition coordinator after the previous one left the role to become the new Opioid Task Force Director.
Ananda Lennox, the recently selected coordinator, is no stranger to the Coalition. She has worked there as a Youth Development and Parent Engagement Coordinator since 2013. The Coalition was launched in 2008 to work toward reducing teen substance abuse in Northampton.
Lennox replaces Paul McNeil in her new role. She will “oversee all operations of the Coalition, including member recruitment, grant administration, fund-raising, public relations and project implementation,” according to a June 21 press release.
Prior to her time at the coalition, the Northampton resident worked at Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School supporting at-risk students. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is now a parent of three boys.
