I am 86 years old, the child of an immigrant mother, and never for a moment have I dreamed that the inhuman events that occurred in Nazi Germany during my young years could be repeated in my own beloved country. As I write this, my tears flow for the children that have been separated from their families, and my heart aches for those who love and cherish them and dream of a better life in this country.
