The Northampton Cal Ripken 10-and-under all-stars took down Greenfield twice over the weekend to claim the District 2 championship.
Colin Larson picked up the win on the mound in all three games, a 10 win over Turners Falls on Friday, a 10-6 win over Greenfield on Saturday and a 10-0 victory over Greenfield again Sunday.
In the championship game, Ian Crowley went 2-for-2 with two runs scored and was named the player of the game by the tournament committee.
Calvin Klumpp and Alexander Calianos both had two hits, as well.
Northampton and Greenfield will both represent the district in the state tournament next weekend by firtue of their finishes.
Amherst 6, Easthampton 4 โ Alex Irizarry had two doubles in his three hits and rove in a run in Amherstโs win Saturday.
Nate Mills hit a two-run single, and Liam Coughlin also had an RBI.
Ryan Leonard picked up the win for Amherst, throwing four innings and striking out 11.
Ryan OโLeary led Easthampton with two hits and two RBIs.
Nick Lloyd and Nick Jolicoeur also drove in runs for Easthampton.
Jolicoeur struck out nine from the mound.
10-11 year olds
Agawam 13, Easthampton 7 โ Tommy Vaillancourt led Easthampton with two hits, and Angel Moody and Jack Belcher-Timme both drove in runs Sunday.
Northampton 5, Wilbraham 1; Northampton 4, Ludlow 3 โ Kevin Banas hit a two-run home run against Ludlow, his third homer this week, to cap a 2-0 Saturday for Post 28.
He had three hits and five RBIs on the day.
Beau Garbarini and Joe Pion also had muliitple hits against Ludlow.
Pat Grygorcewicz, Will OโConnor and Christian Smiarowski all drove in runs against Wilbraham in addition to Banas.

Northampton 10, West Springfield 4 โ Kevin Banas had two hits and two RBIs in a win Sunday.
Tim Hortan, Joe Afflitto, Pat Grygorcewicz, Christian Smiarowski and Colby Lander also drove in runs for Northampton.
Northampton 13, Dalton 0 (5) โ Ryan Long tripled and had four RBIs in the win Saturday.
Will Jordan allowed just two hits and one walk in his four innings on the mound with one strikeout.
Jordan and RJ Safron each drove in two runs and scored twice for Northampton.
Easthampton 18, Mohawk 5 โ Matt Hewes went 4-for-4 with five RBIs Saturday.
He hit two doubles and scored three runs.
ZackKugler scored five runs and hit a two-run triple.
Drew Caires went 2-for-3 and scored four runs.
Amherst 4, Frontier 1 โ Levi Constant struck out five and allowed just one run in a win Sunday.
He also had a hit, stole a base and scored for Amherst.
JB Mills drove in a run to go along with a run ascored and a stolen base.
Kieran Freeman hit twos ingles and had an RBI for Frontier, while Spencer Telega hit a single and a double.
