HADLEY — Three staff members at the Pionner Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School in Hadley will be featured speakers at a world languages expo in Boston on Saturday.

Principal Kathleen Wang, Hsiu-Wen Hsieh, director of education, and Hsinpei Normand, Chinese language teacher, will give a presentation on assessing Chinese language proficiency for K-12 students.

The staff members are presenting at the Annual Convention and World Languages Expo in Boston at 10 a.m.

The expo will draw 6,000 educators from around the world to polish their teaching techniques.

“I look forward to sharing our knowledge, and the experiences we’ve had here teaching Mandarin Chinese, in order to help teachers from around the globe continue to hone their skills,” Wang said in a news release.

After the expo, staff from schools in Beijing, Shanghai and Taiwan are planning to visit the Hadley charter school to discuss ways to collaborate.
