CROP CIRCLES – The Magic and Mystery, with naturalist John Root. Wednesday, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

NUTRITION LECTURES – Professor Frans Huijing, a medical scientist and emeritus professor of biochemistry and molecular biology of the University of Miami, will give talks on three Tuesdays in August from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Aug. 28, TANGLEWOOD SUNDAY CONCERT. Beethoven Symphony No. 9. Depart at 11:30 a.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. $53 price includes lawn seats. You may buy your own shed tickets if you prefer. The concert starts at 2:30 p.m. Attendees may bring lawn chairs and picnic food. Pizza, sandwiches and drinks are available for purchase.

PICNIC – Annual summer picnic, featuring music by Noah Lis, will be held Wednesday. Entertainment begins at 10 a.m., with pulled pork sandwiches and all the fixings for lunch, followed by free bingo and prizes. Suggested donation is $4.

BOOK CLUB – Aug. 16, 1 p.m. August book is “All The Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. Copies available if you are interested in joining the group.

 MOVIES Aug. 17 “Miracles From Heaven,”  will be shown at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. ; Aug. 31, “The Fang Family” will be shown at 12:30 p.m.

SATURDAY HOURS – The Enrichment Center is now open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. Tai chi classes offered at 9:15 a.m., and Zumba Gold at 11 a.m.

OPEN ART STUDIO – A group of artists will be meeting Monday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m. for an open art studio.” Artists will work on a variety of personal projects, be responsible for bringing in his or her own materials, and must help with clean-up when studio time is over. If you are interested, please call and ask to be put on the list. 

PIZZA PARTY – Aug. 12, 1 p.m. Sponsored by Friends of the Easthampton Council on Aging, a variety of slices and free beverages will be available for a $2 fee. Get a sneak peek of the ‘Little Black Dress” event, meet the staff, tour the building, ask questions and see what’s in store for fall. Reserve by Aug. 9.

WALKING GROUP & HIKES – Walkers meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. at the parking lot in the center of town. You can walk as much or as little as you like. The hikes take place around our local area and are led by local folks.
