As we exhale and volcanoes spew out many tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, corals process calcium from seawater and carbon on reefs to make calcium carbonate rock.
And by this process, ocean corals have locked into rock 70 million, billion tons of carbon that would otherwise make planet Earth like our sister planet Venus in runaway greenhouse effect caused by carbon dioxide buildup. It is mostly tremendous carbon dioxide increase throughout eons of time that dried up all the oceans on Venus long ago, with temperatures now at 900 degrees Fahrenheit.
Good people, may all of you care for what nature and by design, the Creator gives to make harmless, vast amounts of carbon dioxide through tiny corals on reefs. As I plead my case before you to stop destroying ocean coral reefs, developers cement in one lot and house after another, so Joe-Public can buy his own little coral reef island.
Also the careless communistic Chinese government, filled in with heavy concrete numerous coral reefs, developing them into ominous military bases; while people from many nations treat our oceans like filthy garbage bins, killing off more precious corals that did thrive on many ocean reefs.
And if all or most corals die, it would be a preventable tragedy, to kill off such hard-working corals, all designed to help stop planet Earth from heating up beyond human endurance.
Scientists, it is your duty to speak-out about coral reef destruction before we all perish.
Help corals to thrive and prove me wrong when I say that it never ceases to amaze me how human beings always seem to find one or more ways to endanger their own future existence.
