PELHAM — Three incumbents, including the town moderator, town auditor and a member of the Board of Assessors, received the most write-in votes at this week’s town election and can, if they choose, continue serving Pelham.
There were no contested races in Tuesday’s election, which drew 93 of 1,033 registered voters, for a 9% turnout.
Moderator Daniel Robb, with 31 write-in votes, can keep the position for another year, while John Trickey received three write-in votes to stay on for another year as auditor. In addition, Gwendolyn Huber got 11 votes to remain on the Board of Assessors for three more years.
The only newcomer who topped a write-in vote was Susan Machala, who got 44 votes to be a library trustee for three years. Machala would replace Gregory Wardlaw, who didn’t run for reelection.
Incumbents whose names were on the ballot and were reelected include Select Board Chairman Robert Agoglia, for a three-year term, School Committee Chairwoman Sarah Hall and member Margaret Stancer for three-year terms and member Brenda Barlow for a one-year term, Board of Health member William Pula for a three-year term, Planning Board member Judith Eiseman for a five-year term, Cemetery Commissioner Cleon “Buzzy” Booth for a three-year term, library trustee Rosemary Agoglia for a three-year term, and Tree Warden David Hawkins for a three-year term.
