UNDER THE PEACOCK’S TAIL

Ever want to know more about NBC’s “Today” show, and its hosts? The folks at Xfinity Theater did, so they devised a show, which continues Friday and Saturday at A.P.E. in Northampton. It’s all quite conceptual, and filled with humor and melodrama, and uses verbatim theater techniques to critique the mainstream cultural touchstone. The creative team at Xfinity, which has been called “the coolest young theater troupe in Massachusetts” (Made-In-The-Berkshires Festival) includes poets, essayists, fiction writers, and performance and visual artists, many of whom met while attending the UMass MFA program for Poets & Writers. 8 p.m.; $10. To reserve, call 586-5553.

ANOTHER GOOD BET

You’ve never seen anything like “STOMP,” unless, of course, you’ve seen “STOMP.” The international percussion sensation will be at the UMass Fine Arts Center Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30. fac.umass.edu for tickets.
