The UMass softball team swept its weekend triple-header at the Aggie Invitational in Davis, California.
On Sunday, the Minutewomen (6-14) scored three runs in the eighth inning to beat Iowa State, 6-4.
Nicole Imhof’s two-run single stretched the lead to 6-3 in the extra inning.
On Saturday, UMass beat UC Davis, 9-5. Imhof’s two-run triple and Kaycee Carbone’s solo homer highlighted a four-run fifth and gave UMass a 7-2 lead.
Also on Saturday, UMass beat Seton Hall, 1-0, behind a one-hit, nine-strikeout performance from Denis Candace.
Kaitlyn Stavinoha’s RBI triple in the sixth was the only run.
