The Williston Northampton boys’ basketball team beat Tabor Academy 84-49 on Friday night following the senior night ceremonies in Easthampton.

Tabor trailed by just four at halftime, but Williston expanded its lead early in the second half with an active fast break and pinpoint shooting.

The seniors did much of the work for the Wildcats. Duncan LeXander led the team with a season-high 21, including five 3-pointers. Guards Spencer Danforth and Kyle Henseler had 17 and eight, respectively. Center Mike Mahoney added nine points and eight rebounds.

Girls Hockey

Williston 9, Winchendon 0 — Freshman Maddy Cardaci added to her impressive first-year campaign with a hat-trick in a home win. Fellow first-year forward Mary Kate O’Brien added a goal and two assists. Junior Kate Holmes led the Wildcats with four points, including three assists.

Williston (18-4-1) caps off its regular season over the weekend against the Buckingham Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge.

Wrestling

Prep Nationals — Hunter Adams lost both of his matches Friday at the National Prep School Wrestling Championships at Lehigh University.

Wrestling at 145 pounds, Adams fell in the round of 32 to Blair’s William Kaiser by a technical fall, 17-2. He lost again in his only consolation match, 9-1 to Mt. St. Joseph’s Chris Roybal.

Girls basketball

Berkshire 39, Williston 36 — Sarah Sullivan led the Wildcats with 18 points. Senior captain Olivia Bonavita added 12.

The Wildcats (6-13) play their last regular-season game over the weekend against the Kent School.

Girls swimming & diving

Bud Erich Invitational — Gabriella Mercier won the diving event. She broke her own school record by scoring 471.2 points.
