The following author appearances, readings and book events are planned for the coming week in the Valley:
FIRST CHURCHES: To celebrate the life and ministry of Jonathan Edwards, Susan Stinson reads from her novel about Edwards, “Spider in a Tree,” Saturday at 7 p.m. On Sunday beginning at 3 p.m., Rev. Peter Ives offers a slide presentation on Edwards and his wife, Sarah, followed by a tour to the site of the Edwards’ home, and to family gravestones in the Bridge Street Cemetery.
MONTAGUE COMMON HALL: Vietnam veteran Al Miller, accompanied by cellist Mark Fraser, will read his award-winning poetry Monday at 4 p.m.; donations will be accepted for the Common Hall, at 34 Main St., Montague. 367-9960, mfraser61@yahoo.com.
