“Yes” on Question 4

On Nov. 6, we have an opportunity, by voting “yes” on Question 4, to let our state representatives know that we want them to vote for single-payer health care in Massachusetts.

This is a non-binding question on local ballots. Single-payer is a method of financing privately delivered health care through a publicly funded health care trust. There would be no co-pays or deductibles, and all medically necessary services would be covered.

We would no longer have to deal with networks, worries about loss of coverage due to change in job or age or relationship status or changes in income. Many candidates in the primary campaigned strongly for single-payer because they know that cities’ and towns’ and school districts’ budgets are strained beyond their limits by rising health care costs, and that by removing the inefficiencies and profit from our current chaotic system we can have universal access to health care at reduced cost.

Our legislators need our support in passing this legislation. More information available at WMMedicareforAll.org. Please join me in voting “yes” on Question 4!
