The Saints defense held the Mammoths (3-1) scoreless for the first four minutes.
Amherst led 23-17 after the first quarter and 33-26 at the half, but opened up the lead with a 30-12 third quarter that included 13 points by Madeline Eck, who finished with 17 points.
