NORTHAMPTON – A snowstorm led to a large number of snow tows in Easthampton and Northampton.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall as of Monday morning ranged from 3 inches in Amherst and South Hadley to 2.5 inches in Pelham and North Amherst.

Kevin Cadima, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Norton, said that another inch of snow is possible in the area, with occasional light snow in the afternoon tapering off later.

Cadima also said that nothing else of note weatherwise is predicted, with lows tonight in the teens and highs Tuesday around 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

 “Typical mid-February weather,” Cadima said.

Easthampton and Northampton towed a number of cars during the storm. Easthampton saw 31 snow tows, and while Northampton towed 21 vehicles.

Amherst, meanwhile, saw eight snow tows. No cars were towed in Granby, Belchertown, Hadley, and South Hadley.
