This year the staff at Hampshire Regional decided it would be a good idea to have the seniors visit their home elementary schools one last time. “It was a big hit,” says Jessica Judd, a local photographer who has two children at New Hingham.
The elementary students and teachers lined the halls and cheered as the seniors walked from one end of the school to the other. “It was very emotional. We’re hoping it becomes a new tradition,” says Judd.
Judd, who is a member of the New Hingham School Committee, had volunteered to help out at the annual senior breakfast that the Hampshire Regional School Committee puts on for the seniors. She took photos and then traveled over to the elementary school with the students headed there.
