The Northampton Post 28 American Legion baseball team beat defending state champion Pittsfield Post 68, 4-2, Tuesday at Wahconah Park.
Zac Brittain had five strikeouts and allowed two runs over six innings for the win. Hunter Salem struck two for the save.
Pat Gregorcewicz went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, while Tim Horton was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Post 28 (5-1).
Hector DeJesus scored twice, while Joe Afflitto and Andrew Serio each scored and had one hit.
