EASTHAMPTON – An Easthampton man was arrested on drug distribution charges Friday after police allegedly found marijuana, prescription drugs and $11,000 in cash at his Clifford Street apartment.
Christopher E. Roy, 28, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Class D drug (marijuana), possession of a Class E drug with intent to distribute (alprazolam) and possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute (amphetamine) after police executed a search warrant at his apartment, according to a release.
The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into the illegal sale of marijuana in Easthampton.
Police allegedly discovered a “large quantity” of marijuana, packaging materials and paraphernalia used to sell the drug. The approximately $11,000 in cash seized by police is believed to be the proceeds of drug sales.
Roy is being held on $1,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned on Monday in Northampton District Court.
