If you care about people who aren’t one of us, I suggest you read a recent article in regard to Palestine by Caitlin Johnstone titled “It shouldn’t have taken this much for mainstream voices to start speaking up.” Unfortunately, this is hardly the only example of the inability of Western corporate mainstream media, or most Americans, to speak truth to power.
Instead, we’ve been led to believe we are the greatest nation on earth, and have simply been trying to spread freedom and democracy around the world. For example, you won’t find any mainstream coverage of the ongoing Brown University Costs of War project. You need to go to alternative media if you care to know the truth about what our empire is up to (and has been up to since we stole this land from it’s rightful owners). I suggest Consortium News and of course Caitlin Johnstone who digs deeper than all the rest to uncover the lies we are being told by mainstream media.
The good news is the rise of BRICS, and the revolutionary shift from U.S. hegemony to a world that is replacing military competition with economic cooperation, which in turn is leading to the demise of our despicable empire.
