Janet Margaret (Ledoux) Tudryn
Dallas, TX – Janet Margaret (Ledoux) Tudryn formerly of Florence, MA
was born April 4, 1947 and peacefully joined the Lord on September 28,
2025. She was raised in Loudville, Massachusetts by her parents,
Lawrence and Jacqueline (Laprade) Ledoux with a house full of brothers
and sisters. She attended St. Michaels High School and was a
cheerleader and yearbook staff member and also a long-standing reunion
committee member for St. Michaels High School.
Janet married her high school sweetheart, Donald J. Tudryn in 1967 and
had two daughters, Dawn Tudryn of Fishkill, NY and Wendy (Tudryn)
Rettinger of Dallas, TX. They raised their kids in Florence, MA where
she resided until moving to Dallas, TX to live with her daughter Wendy
in 2022 for medical reasons.
Janet was a loyal patron and longtime dedicated volunteer at Meekins
Library in Williamsburg, MA. She was a voracious reader, a lover of
Sudoku and crossword puzzles and was exceptionally skilled at
crocheting and knitting, and enjoyed making baby hats that she would
donate to the hospital to be given as gifts to newborn babies. She
also made beautiful afghans and everyone’s favorite, Christmas bell
ornaments to hang on the tree. Her great love was her 5 grandchildren
and frequently attended their dance recitals and sporting events. She
was an avid sports fan and enthusiastically followed and cheered for
the UConn basketball teams.
Janet was predeceased by her husband Donald in 2000. She is survived
by her daughter, Dawn Tudryn, grandchildren Justin and Vanessa
Piciacchio; daughter Wendy (Tudryn) Rettinger and husband Tom, three
grandsons, Teddy, Sammy and his wife Kathryn and a 19-month-old great
granddaughter Elisabeth, fondly called Birdie, who brought her great
joy, and Danny and his wife Selah.
There will be a Memorial Service in Dallas on Friday, October 10th at
10 AM at Faith Presbyterian Hospice, T. Boone Pickens Center at 12477
Merit Drive. A Celebration of Life will be held in Massachusetts on
Saturday, November 15th at the Northampton Country Club from 1-4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be sent to Smith Vocational
High School, towards the Donald J. Tudryn Memorial Scholarship Fund
and Betty Tudryn.
