I am excited to support Megan Wolf in her write-in campaign for Ward 4 School Committee. So excited, in fact, that without hesitation I agreed to be her campaign treasurer. I am Megan’s long-time neighbor and I know her to be a generous friend, an engaged parent, and an active community member. Megan naturally encourages the people around her to see what is possible and this positive leadership has contributed to notable successes in her professional life. I have no doubt that this same steadfast focus on collaborative decision-making and forward movement will make Megan a brilliant addition to the School Committee. In the fields of philanthropy and social justice, Megan has moved the needle forward by leading with respect, inspiration, and determination. In addition to her strong and consistent leadership, Megan’s current work on education policy advocacy and her focus on protecting public education on the national level make her particularly well suited for a seat on the School Committee.
I am inspired by Megan’s choice to step up and run for office. Like many of us, Megan feels that the tenor and direction of our School Committee has become deeply negative. Instead of sitting in frustration, she is taking action. Megan will move away from the narrative that our public schools are failing and instead focus our collective energy towards supporting and enhancing the good work the Northampton Schools are doing every day. By envisioning what is possible, we can move forward together, caring for the needs of all of Northampton’s students. Please join me in writing in Megan Wolf for Ward 4 School Committee on Nov. 4. She will be a strong voice for collaboration and respect.
