Pavlova, a meringue base covered with whipped cream and topped with fresh, seasonal fruit, is a simple and elegant dessert, perfect for summertime. Jenny Fleming-Ives of Northampton made hers with local raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and peaches and added a sprig of mint. She also noted that the dish was a favorite of her mother’s and possibly originated in Australia and New Zealand in the 1920s to honor a visit by the Russian ballerina, Anna Pavlova.
