Easthampton, MA – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark A. Branyen of Lakeland, Florida. Born on August 23, 1957 in Northampton, Massachusetts, Mark lived a life marked by quiet dedication, compassion, and a deep love for family and the open road.
Mark devoted much of his life to caring for others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant and a certified EMT, he brought comfort and aid to those in need. He earned associate degrees in both nursing and law enforcement at Greenfield Community College and Holyoke Community College-fields that reflect his lifelong commitment to service and protection. His work was not just a profession, but a calling.
In his younger years, Mark found joy and freedom in his motorcycles and trail riding, embracing the thrill of the ride and the peace of nature. These moments of adventure were a cherished part of his life story.
Mark was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ralph and Dolores (LaPlante) Branyen, as well as several aunts and uncles who helped shape the man he became. He is survived by his brother Gary and sister-in-law Susan (Martel) Branyen; his nephew Timothy Branyen; nieces Rebecca Manning and her husband Adrian, and Sarah Branyen. He also leaves behind three uncles-Edward, Richard (Patti), and Ronald (Michelle) LaPlante-and an extended family of approximately 70 cousins.
He is also fondly remembered by his grandnephew Arden Manning and grandnieces Cymbeline and Sonnet Manning.
Mark’s absence leaves a quiet ache in the lives of those who knew him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lives he touched, and the love that endures.
