As current and former Easthampton city councilors, we are supporting Lindsi Sekula for mayor of Easthampton because she’s the most qualified and the most grounded in how the city actually works. For seven years, she’s been inside City Hall doing the nuts-and-bolts work that keeps the city running.
Through this campaign and her years in city government, Lindsi has been out there listening, connecting, and making residents feel heard. She’s committed to a truly community-engaged master plan process and to setting clear, strategic goals shaped by the needs of Easthamptoners.
She’s always showing up — standing with tenants against predatory rent hikes and pushing for affordable, stable housing. As a single mother who’s faced housing insecurity herself, Lindsi carries a deep understanding of what that struggle means for families and brings that lived experience to her leadership.
As mayor, Lindsi will also serve on the School Committee, and as a parent with children in our schools, she already knows what it means to advocate for their safety, support, and success. She’s navigated tough challenges as a parent and remains deeply committed to being part of the solution. We know that she will work collaboratively with our dedicated School Committee members to strengthen and improve our schools for every student.
Another reason Lindsi is our clear #1 choice is her strength and willingness to face difficult situations head-on, such as when a colleague was bullying women in city government. Unfortunately, during our time on City Council, we didn’t see that same fortitude or courage from mayoral candidate Salem Derby. Those choices speak volumes to those of us who experienced the bad behavior.
With so many in our community feeling vulnerable to hateful rhetoric and harmful behavior, we need a mayor we can trust to stand up for all of us. We believe Lindsi Sekula will do that. She’s serious, focused, and ready to lead Easthampton forward with intelligence, integrity and heart. Join us in voting Lindsi Sekula the next mayor of Easthampton!
