Hatfield, MA – Karen M. (Veilleux) Barcomb, 74, of Hatfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 18, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Northampton on February 13, 1951, to the late Lucian and Flora (Poudrier) Veilleux.
For several years she had worked as a housekeeper, but most of all she loved being a stay at home mother raising her children. In addition to her work as a housekeeper and her devotion to her family, Karen found joy in volunteering at the Hatfield Senior Center, where she cherished socializing with friends. Karen enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Quabbin Valley Twirler’s.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dennis Barcomb of Hatfield, her son Randy Barcomb of Hatfield, her daughters, Wendy McAvoy and her husband Anthony of Belchertown, Kelly McAvoy and her husband William Jr., of Halifax, and Sherry Barcomb and her companion, Jeremy Plasse, her grandchildren, Keith, Ryan, Shyann, Anthony Jr., Angel, Karl, great grandchildren, Kyle, Reddington, Novalyn, Maxim, Dalia, and Lena, her sister, Donna Virelli of Miami, FL, also several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Claire LaMere, Louis Sloan, and Nancy Scott.
