Dunedin, FL – Kathy (Rajter) Golling, 65, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of Florence, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her three loving daughters on February 2, 2026, at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL. She was born in Northampton on August 22, 1960, to the late Michael and Janet (LaFreniere) Rajter.
She received her education in Northampton schools and continued her academic pursuits at Greenfield Community College, American International College, and Western Governor’s University. She earned a master’s degree in nursing and dedicated fifty years to serving as a nurse in hospitals and long-term care facilities. Renowned for her commitment to patient care, she took considerable pride in both her professional expertise and her contributions to the healthcare field. A lively force during the 70s and 80s, Kathy enjoyed dancing at discos, visiting the beach, and spending time with friends. Later in life, she cherished time spent with her growing family.
Kathy is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Sarah Golling of Holyoke, Heather Velozo and her husband Ethan of Belchertown, and Jessica Golling of Dunedin, FL, her 2 granddaughters, Aubree Thadeu and Stella Velozo, her brother, Michael Reiter of Northampton, her sisters, Terri Pike of Wilmington, VT, Sherri Rajter of Readsboro, VT, and Lori Cristofori of Westhampton, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Golling.
Calling hours will be on Thursday February 12, 2026, from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 DAMON RD, NORTHAMPTON, MA. Funeral will be on Friday February 13, 2026, at 9 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Annunciation Chapel at 85 Beacon St., Florence at 10 AM. Burial will immediately follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence.
