Easthampton, MA – Patrick J. Monahan, Jr., of Easthampton passed away on March 10, 2026 at the Hospice of the Fisher House in Amherst. Son of the late Patrick Sr. and Mary (Riley) Monahan, he was born on November 4, 1949 and attended Holyoke Schools. He graduated from Holyoke Community College and New England School of Embalming. Patrick leaves his wife, Kathy (Kelly) Monahan, and three sons: PJ (Katie), James (Kate), and Dan (Dawn). He will be missed by five grandchildren: Max, Lane, Libby, Liam, and Emma, who affectionately called him their "Bob." He also leaves his five siblings: Philip (Morna), Joe (Mary), Ellen (Hugh) Clark, Brigid (Kevin) O'Rourke, and his youngest sister, Maggie (Mark) DeForge, who was his constant companion and morale booster throughout his illness. Patrick also leaves his brother-in- law, Bill (Susan) Kelly, and his sister-in-law, Mary Beth Kelly, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, March 19 from 9:00 to 11:00 am followed by a prayer service in the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Fisher House, 1165 N. Pleasant St., Amherst, MA 01002 or to Sisters of St. Joseph, 577 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
