The March 28 No King’s rallies across the country have been getting considerable coverage nationwide, as well as locally. Though it is not on the NoKings.org map, Indivisible Easthampton will be holding a rally starting at 10 a.m. in Pulaski Park (16 Main St., Easthampton). I plan to be there. Why? I’m concerned about the authoritarian actions and corruption I witness daily by the leaders of our own government. The goal of these actions is to overwhelm us and scare us into silence. I categorically reject that. In this moment in our history, the rally is a way for us to come together, as a community, and make our voices heard. Resistance is not futile. Taking action is empowering and might make you feel better in the community of others who feel the same. Please join us as we stand together to rebuild our democracy.
