As someone who was born of the Fourth of July, I used to love fireworks sparkling against the night sky. One year my husband and I took our dog for a nice summer evening of fireworks. All was fine until they started exploding. My terrified dog tried to escape. I realized the night noise we are creating for all animals is dangerous and terrifying .
There must be a better way to share this holiday with lights that aren’t explosive.
