The protest in front of L3Harris in Northampton took place less than a week after Hamas killed more than 1,000 Israeli civilians, raped Israeli women, and took hundreds of hostages. Despite the statement, “I cannot stand silently,” it appears that Demilitarize Western Mass and Massachusetts Peace Action have no trouble remaining almost entirely silent about Hamas atrocities in Israel. Their biased simplistic virtue signaling does very little to further the debate about complex and difficult issues, in Gaza, the greater Middle East, and around the world.
